Help!
Indian Family needs to build their home on the Crow Creek Sioux Indian Reservation.
We had a H.U.D. House and owned our own home located in Ft Thompson, SD and left to attend college in 2000. Then some times in May of 2001 some one burned our home down. The Red Cross could not help me because no one was living inside the house when it burned down. I was employed as the Program Director for the tribal alcoholism program from 1998 to 2000, and a new tribal council was elected into office and I lost my job and became unemployed. We didn't have funds to pay for insurance for the house either.
When we moved home to the Indian reservation in August 19th of 2004 and we did not have a home and was homeless for a whole year. My wife and I stayed at my sister's house during this time and our Children and grand children stayed where they could. Today, We live in a 2 bedroom house since September 2005, belonging to the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe Housing Authority until we can re-build our home.
I have my wife Barbara and I and one grown up daughter living at the house now and we have Solomon who is a Junior in High School this year; and we have Jarelle who is also a Junior in High School and we have Chance who is 1st grade. (We lost our oldest daughter Suzanne Blaine on July 08, 2005 and she was living in Vermillion, SD until we got a place to live in Ft Thompson) Since losing our Suzanne we (my wife and I) are raising her four children (our grandchildren) , Micah is 8th grade, Jared is 6th grade, Rain is 1st grade and Julianne is Kintergarden.
We have 2 grandchildren in Wapato, Washington, today is August 06, 2006 and we need gas money and a good vehicle to travel after 2 grandchildren who have been living in Wapato, Washington since 2004 because we didn't have a home of our own. We want to travel after them and bring them home (verification is a phone number where they are staying at in Wapato)
So we will have nine children in the house by the end of this month. So I am asking for help to help me rebuild a 6 bedroom home. I have the lot where the other house burned down and a water and sewer hook up. Once we get the lumber we will build it ourselves until I get to the plumbing.
Please send donations to Barbara and Nelson Blaine Jr. Family, P.O. Box 83, Ft Thompson, SD, 57339. Phone number is 605-245-2365. If you want to send a large amount of money I can give you the address of Sister Charles, a Catholic num, OSB, who is care taker of our local St Joseph's Catholic Church, and you can rest assured that Siste Charles will see that your hard earned money is spend on re-building a home for us.
